As part of Informa Markets, committed to contributing to the achievement of the goals defined by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Agrishow implements a series of initiatives that aim to act consistently on the following fronts:

Here are some of the actions that will be carried out at Agrishow 2024 and how they relate to the UN SDGs:

AGRISHOW PRA ELAS [GENDER EQUALITY]

Award-winning project from Agrishow, which has been in existence since 2021. Agrishow Pra Elas is an exclusive space, with very pleasant talks and exchange of experiences among incredible women who work in the agricultural sector, with the aim of valuing and stimulating female participation in the sector. As a space for networking with women from all over Brazil, in 2024 we will have a hands-on area dedicated to technical speeches from women to women.

AGRISHOW LABS  [Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure]

A dedicated area within the Technology and Innovation Arena, connecting various agribusiness startups and their solutions directly with the visiting public, in a perfect space for conducting business and networking. For 2024, we expect around 40 startups in the space, double the number we had in 2023.

Food Donation (MATCHFOOD) [Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture] 

In collaboration with MatchFood and the El Dorado group, we will work on food donations for 5 social institutions in the Ribeirão Preto region: Instituto Simplesmente Amor, Anjos da Rua, Associação Missão Filhos Pródigos, City Só Agradeço, and Grupo Ação Solidária RP.


RECYCLING ACTION [Sustainable Cities and Communities] 

Separating more than 50 tons of recyclables from non-recyclable waste generated during the event, which are reused through joint efforts with the Mãos Dadas cooperative, contributing to income generation for families in the Ribeirão Preto region.


SOLAR ENERGY [Affordable and Clean Energy / Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure]

Photovoltaic panels in the bathrooms of Agrishow, providing clean and 100% renewable energy for the operation of these structures. Additionally, we will also have kiosks for charging cell phones available to our visitors, 100% powered by solar energy.


WOOD WASTE [Sustainable Cities and Communities] 

More than 200 tons of this type of waste from the stands and structures of the event are destined for energy generation, landscaping, and other initiatives, avoiding their disposal in the environment.


ENERGY PATROL [Affordable and Clean Energy]

We have a team that works throughout the night, after each day of the event, inspecting all structures and instructing our exhibitors to turn off elements such as lights, air conditioning, and other devices that may be consuming energy unnecessarily during the fair's inactive periods.


ARTISAN PRODUCERS PAVILION [Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture] 

To stimulate and value small producers, in collaboration with the government of the State of São Paulo, the Artisan Producers Pavilion values family farming by giving space to small artisanal producers who sell products such as cheese, honey, and charcuterie, among others, within the fair.


GRAAL 

A dedicated space at the fair that will serve as a rest and reception area for caravan drivers.


SUPPORT FOR GACC

The Support Group for Children with Cancer is a Social Organization located in the city of Ribeirão Preto, which offers high-complexity special social protection programs - halfway house - to families in situations of social vulnerability seeking treatment against cancer. HEMOCENTRO RIBEIRÃO PRETO

Ribeirão Preto Hemocenter is one of the most important hemotherapy and hematology centers in the country, responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing blood to more than 249 municipalities in São Paulo, as well as assisting patients with hematologic or related pathologies.


WELLNESS INITIATIVES

With the aim of welcoming various profiles of visitors, Agrishow works on initiatives such as transportation within the fair using electric carts for people with mobility difficulties, rest areas, and hydration points distributed throughout the fair.


SUPPORT FOR THE LOCAL ECONOMY

Agrishow reserves space in the food courts for small entrepreneurs from the Ribeirão Preto region, allowing their food trucks to be present and serve the fair's attendees.


HIRING +50 AND +60

Agrishow is also committed to creating job opportunities for a wide range of profiles. That's why we make sure to hire professionals over 50 and over 60 to work at the event.


DISTRIBUTION OF SEEDLINGS

There will be distribution of seedlings of native species at the Macboot stand.

SEEDLINGS DISTRIBUTION

There will be distribution of seedlings of native species (Copaíba, Uvaia and Guava) at the Macboot stand, located on the A22.

 

ARTISANAL PRODUCER PAVILION [Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture]

To encourage and value small producers, in partnership with the Secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the State of SP, the Pavilhão de Produtores Artesanais values ​​family farming by giving space to small artisanal producers, who sell products such as cheese, cachaça, honey at the fair and charcuterie, among others.


DONATION OF MEALS [Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture]

In partnership with MatchFood and the El Dorado group, we worked on donating lunchboxes to 4 social institutions in the Ribeirão Preto region: Instituto Simply Amor, Associação Missão Filhos Pródigos, City Só Escolha and Grupo Ação Solidária RP.


URBAN MOBILITY [Sustainable Cities and Communities]I

n partnership with the Municipality of Ribeirão Preto and Transerp, biofuel-powered bus lines were made available so that the visiting public, exhibitors and other workers could access the event by means of public transport. Free shuttle services to and from the fair were also available in alternative parking spaces throughout the city. All aimed at making traffic flow more smoothly and reducing CO² emissions into the atmosphere.


SUPPORT TO THE GACC

Agrishow provided a completely free space to the GACC – Support Group for Children with Cancer in Ribeirão Preto – aiming to publicize its incredible work in the area of ​​childhood oncology and encourage the collection of donations within the event. WELL-BEING ACTIONS

Aiming to better receive different public profiles, Agrishow works on initiatives such as a comfort room for lactating mothers and their babies, transport through the interior of the fair via electric carts for people with mobility difficulties, a resting point and reception for caravan drivers and points hydration stations throughout the fair + distribution of free water in the visitors' parking lot and in the Agrishow Pra Elas.


INCENTIVE TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY

Agrishow dedicates three entire food courts to small entrepreneurs in the Ribeirão Preto region, making room for their food trucks to be present and serve the public at the fair.


HIRING +50 AND +60

Agrishow is also engaged in opening job opportunities for the most varied profiles. That's why we make a point of hiring professionals over 50 and over 60 to work at the event.
