159 thousand qualified people from Brazil and abroad learned about the several novelties and launches on more than 800 national and international brands
The biggest edition of all times 25th Agrishow (International Agricultural Technology Fair), that ended the latest May, 4th, had a growth in business achievement of 22%, meaning a R$ 2.7 million volume. During the previous edition, it was registered R$ 2.2 million in business. Considering each segment, the purchase intention of machinery and equipment increased: storage (15%), cereals, fruits and coffee (25%), cattle breeding (8%) and irrigation (14%).
Agrishow 2018 reflected the dynamism and relevance of the Brazilian agribusiness. “During this edition, the agricultural producers could find solutions for all their activities, including machinery and advanced technology implements, digital technology innovations for the field, which can increase culture sustainability, profitability and productivity. Certainly, the domestic agriculture is positioning Brazil as a world leading role regarding the production of foods, energy and fiber, and in Agriculture 4.0”, say Francisco Matturo, Agrishow’s CEO.
The 19th International Business Round brought together Brazilian manufacturers from several sectors such as machinery, agricultural implements, and irrigation equipment and cattle breeding, with foreign buyers (importers, distributors and representatives) from South Africa, Ethiopia, Iran, Nigeria, Peru, Kenya, Russia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. During three days, 16 foreign buyers gathered with 60 Brazilian companies, for a commercial promotion that resulted in around 520 meetings and more than US$ 24 million worth in business deals and future deals for the next 12 months. Named Buyer Project, the International Business Round, promoted by Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) Program, is a partnership between ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery an Equipment Industry) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Exports and Investments Promotion).
The amount of visitors of Agrishow 2018 reached 159 thousand people during its five days. The more than 800 national and international brands pointed the qualification of the visitors, which were, above all, of buyers and small, medium and large agricultural producers, either from Brazil and abroad.
Agrishow 2018 is an initiative of the main agricultural entities of the country. Abag (Brazilian Agribusiness Association), Abimaq (Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association), Anda (National Association for Fertilizer Dissemination), Faesp (Agriculture and Cattle Federation of Sao Paulo) and SRB (Brazilian Rural Society), and is organized by Informa Exhibitions (part of the Informa Group), one of the biggest fair, conventions and training promoters world-wide with publicly traded capital.
